Who we are

What data we collect and why
Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Comments. If you leave a comment on a post, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it — Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture may be visible alongside your comment.
Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the content, including which pages are visited and how long visitors stay. This data is aggregated and anonymised and is used only to improve the site. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Images. If you upload images to this site, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the site.
Cookies
This site uses cookies in the following circumstances. If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience, so you do not have to fill in your details again on future visits. These cookies last for one year. Google Analytics also sets cookies to track visitor behaviour in an anonymised way. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles from other websites. Embedded content behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website directly, and those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.
How long we retain your data
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry. Comment data and metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically. If you have left a comment and would like it removed, please contact jason@curious.dad.
Your rights
Under Singapore’s PDPA and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction of any inaccurate data, and request that we delete your personal data where there is no legitimate reason for us to continue holding it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact jason@curious.dad and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through Akismet, an automated spam detection service. Contact form data is processed through WPForms and stored on this site’s server hosted by GoDaddy. Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
